Rural Lexington Theft
January 21, 2014

The Dawson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a rural Burglary. Sometime between December 31, 2013 and January 4, 2014 an unknown person or persons entered a rural unlocked Lexington garage and stole a 100 year old Cedar Chest valued at over $1000.00. The house was currently unoccupied.

Anyone with information to solve this crime may be awarded a cash reward for the anonymous information that leads to an arrest in this case.

Suspect: Robert Wiley Pinson DOB: 02-13-1991 Height: 5’9” Weight: 140 lbs Eyes: Blue Hair: Brown Robert Wiley Pinson is wanted for 10 Active Warrants from Dawson and Gosper Counties. Rural Sumner Theft
December 31, 2013

The Dawson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a Theft in rural Sumner, NE. An unknown person or persons stole 40 yellow cattle panels, a cattle chute, and a trailer with 20 cattle panels still on the trailer. The trailer operates with a trailer hitch type pull system and on 16 inch tires. The chute also holds 20 panels itself. Possible brands of panels is Basch and the chute is possibly a Wrinkle brand.

Rural Burglary

The Dawson County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a rural burglary that occurred in the Cozad area.  Sometime around two months prior, person(s) unknown forcibly entered into a garage that was on the property.  Once inside, the perpetrator removed several power tools to include a Shoemaker brand two wheeled battery charger.  If you have any information regarding this, or any other crime; call, click, or text your tip today.  You could be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.

Stolen Air Compressor
September 09, 2013

The Dawson County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating the theft of a Puma brand air compressor from a rural Cozad area business.  Sometime during the winter months (December 2012 through March 2013) person(s) unknown removed the air compressor from the back of a pickup truck that was parked at the business.  The air compressor was valued at or around $1,400, making this a felony theft.  If you have any information regarding this, or any other crime; call, click, or text the Dawson-Gosper Crime Stoppers for your chance at a cash reward.

Rural Cozad Burglary
August 26, 2013

The Dawson County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating a rural Cozad area burglary.  Sometime during the nighttime hours of Thursday, August 1st, 2013 and the early morning hours of Tuesday, August 6th, 2013; person(s) unknown entered into a farm building and removed several power tools.  Most of the tools taken were similar to those used in the agricultural and construction industries. Fallow Deer

The Gosper County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating a report of a Fallow deer being shot between April 9th and April 12th, 2013.  The deer were contained in a high fenced area in rural Gosper County and valued at $1,500 per animal.  Anyone with information regarding this crime is asked to call the Dawson/Gosper County Crime Stoppers at 866-652-7383 or 308-784-1234.   Your information could entitle you to a reward and you will remain anonymous.

Rural Lexington Burglary
April 29, 2013

The Dawson County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating a rural Lexington burglary.  Sometime during the nighttime hours of Friday, March 1st or early morning hours of Saturday, March 2nd, 2013, person(s) unknown forcibly entered into the home and removed several items.  Some of those items included television sets, a Playstation 3 gaming consul and games.  Anyone with information about this or any other crime is encouraged to submit a tip on our website, or by calling the crime stoppers hotline.

Vehicle Fire
April 01, 2013

The Dawson County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating a suspicious vehicle fire that occurred in the rural Lexington area.  Sometime between the hours of 7:00pm and 10:30pm on Saturday, March 23rd, 2013, person(s) unknown entered into a pickup truck that was located on the property and started it on fire.  The vehicle fire was short lived; however, extensive damage to the interior was sustained.  Anyone with information that could be used to solve this or any other crime is encouraged to contact Dawson-Gosper Crime Stoppers.

Elwood Burglary

The Gosper County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating a burglary.  On Friday, March 1st, 2013 unknown person(s) entered a residence during the daytime hours and stole a flat screen TV and several weapons to include rifles and shotguns.

Rural Lexington Theft
February 11, 2013

The Dawson County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a theft that occurred in the rural Lexington area.  Sometime during the afternoon hours of Friday, February 1st, 2013, a vehicle was photographed pulling into the driveway of the residence. Gothenburg Damage
December 31, 2012

The Gothenburg Police Department is investigating the unlawful use and damage to a Bobcat utility vehicle, belonging to the City of Gothenburg Parks and Cemetery Department.

     On Saturday September 1, 2012 between 11:30 PM and 12:00 Midnight individuals took the utility vehicle from the storage area of the Gothenburg cemetery and drove around the cemetery crashed into a tree causing over $800.00 in damages to the utility vehicle.

     Security cameras recorded individuals driving the utility vehicle as well as other vehicles in the cemetery.  A white full sized Sports Utility Vehicle was seen leaving the cemetery near the time of the damage to the Bobcat.  A mid-sized two door coupe was also recorded in the area of the damaged cemetery utility vehicle.

Gosper County Suspicous Activity

Mailbox Damage
October 22, 2012

The Dawson County Sheriff`s Office responded to several complaints of criminal mischief involving mailboxes that were damaged in the rural Gothenburg area.  The damage occurred sometime during the evening hours of Sunday, October 14th or the early morning hours of Monday, October 10th, 2012.

Lexington Burglary
October 15, 2012


The Lexington Police Department is looking into a Monday morning burglary of an auto repair shop on west 5th Street. Police Chief Tracy Wolf says it`s believed to have occurred between 2:00am and 8:00am resulting in the loss of $9,000 in tools. Among them are diagnostic scanners, Craftsman tools, drills and a floor jack. Chief Wolf encourages anyone with information about the crime to contact the police department or Dawson Gosper Crime Stoppers.

Attempted Burglary

The Dawson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an attempted burglary that occurred in the rural Lexington area.  Sometime during the morning hours of Friday, August 24th, 2012, person(s) unknown attempted a forced entry into the home through a window located on the backside of the home.  The estimated damage is in excess of $100 and the Dawson-Gosper Crime Stoppers needs your help in solving this crime.  Submit your tip today to be eligible for a cash reward!

Gun Burglary
July 30, 2012

On July 17th, 2012 the Dawson County Sheriff’ Office received a report of a residential burglary that occurred in the rural Cozad area.  The home was forcibly entered and around fourteen firearms were taken.  Also taken were various items to include jewelry and other household items.  The Dawson-Gosper Crime Stoppers seeks anonymous tipsters to solve this or any other crime and cash reward(s) will be paid for information that leads to the arrest of whoever is responsible.

Attempted Murder
July 24, 2012

On June 18th, 2012, at or around 9:00pm, unknown suspects fired three rounds from a small caliber weapon into the passenger side of a green Denali striking the 20 year old victim in the right side of the head.  The witnesses and victim have remained completely uncooperative in this matter.
